I bought this martini glass at Pier One Imports and turned it upside down gluing it to an upside down candle cup. There is another candlestick on the cup topped with a small drinking glass. All of them are glued with E6000 and stacking the pieces together add height to an ordinary candlestick.
One of the best ways to add interest to a table scape is to vary the heights of similar objects. By eliminating a few pieces or adding additional ones you can create an odd number of one of a kind candlesticks making a beautiful vignette.

Dollar Store Bowl Pedestal
Here is another pedestal that I created from plastic items from Dollar Tree. I needed a display piece for my Glitterpooh booth at the Farmers Market and I created this all from items from the dollar store except for the glue which is E6000. This entire piece is lightweight and costs under ten dollars including tax. It was simple and easy.
1. Gather your bowls or trays. The pink and green bowls are ice cream bowls.
2. Figure out how you want them to look, flip them over, connect to each other - you get the idea!
3. Rough up the smooth edges you are going to glue with a nail file.
4. Start gluing with the E6000 glue. Let it dry overnight.
5. Start adding beads, I used toy necklaces found in the children's aisle. If you're impatient like me I started gluing them on before the rest was dry. I used a glue gun to attach the beads because the E6000 doesn't set immediately and then the beads would slide off. Have fun creating one of a kind pieces.

Plastic bottle repurpose
This pedestal is made from melamine plates, a dog dish for the base and plastic water bottle supports. The bottles have been cut, painted and glued to the plates. My photography skills need alot of work and it is so much prettier in person! There are beads glued to the pedestal where the bottles meet. I am obsessing on plastic bottles and what to do to them. So far I've made flower brooches, hair clips, pedestals, vases and cupcake holders. I have a booth at local art fairs and will be making display props to showcase the flower , headbands, hats and clips that I make. My next post will showcase some more pedestals. Thanks for reading!
