Do you have an Etsy shop? Today it's taking me allday to create a banner and an avatar for my shop. It's still a work in progress. The whole Etsy shop thing is overwhelming. Here is what you have to do before you open your shop:
1. Come up with a name and you must be certain about it because it's very difficult to change once you set it and if you change your mind you have to create a new email address.
2. Write your bio and be creative about it. I'm a right brain person for the most part and I struggle with being witty and fun. All I want to do is list stats and leave it at that but that's not good enough.
3. Learn product photography. I've been using picasa 3 and then in the editing tools, I'm using the "creative" option to work on my photos.
4. Start listing your items using the photos that you took.
5. Come up with tag words and a description. It's alot easier to copy and paste the description or it takes forever.
6. Did I mention you have to set up a paypal account and link your banking information to etsy?
This is where I'm at now. Will keep updating as I go...
